Literacy
We support children who may be experiencing:
Specific Learning Disorder (e.g. Dyslexia) - DSM-V 315.00 & 315.2
Ongoing & significant difficulties with developing and use literacy skills
Children that have Dyslexia often experience challenges in accessing the school curriculum, often leading to frustration despite their strong effort and motivation

Phonological Awareness
Recognising and manipulating sounds in words
Developing skills such as rhyming, segmenting, and blending sounds
Understanding the difference between sounds, letters, words, and sentences
Reading
Developing letter-sound knowledge and decoding skills
Improving reading accuracy and word recognition
Building fluent reading skills
Strengthening reading comprehension
Fostering confidence and enjoyment in reading for life, including reading books for leisure and understanding everyday texts such as instructions, games, and programs
Spelling
Understanding sound patterns and spelling rules
Improving spelling accuracy and confidence
Explicit, systematic teaching of word parts through developing morphology knowledge. For example, prefixes, suffixes, base words
Supporting spelling skills for classroom tasks and everyday writing, including emails, messages, and letters
Writing
Generating, organising, and expanding ideas for writing
Developing clear sentence structure, appropriate grammar, and richer vocabulary
Supporting children to confidently transfer their thoughts and ideas onto paper
Understanding the purpose and structure of different text types (e.g. stories, recounts, reports)
